Outcome Of The Consultation On Admission Arrangements For Entry In September 2022
The Multi Academy Trust (MAT) Board of Yavneh College Academy Trust has recently undertaken a consultation to consider revisions to the admission arrangements for entry into Yavneh College (the “School”) in September 2022. We would like to thank everyone who has taken the trouble to respond to the consultation.
Following the conclusion of the consultation on 25 January 2021, the Trustees have considered the responses to the consultation and have now determined the admission arrangements for entry into the School in September 2022. Copies of the determined admission arrangements can be found 在这里 for Year 7 and 在这里 for 六年级.
The first proposed change we consulted on was to remove former siblings from the definition of siblings for both entry into Year 7 and the Sixth form of the School, so that only applicants who had another child on the School roll, at 1 September 2022, would be considered as a priority applicant under the sibling over-subscription criterion.
Having considered the responses to the consultation, the Trustees agreed that former siblings should be removed from the definition of siblings for both entry into Year 7 and the Sixth form of the School. 然而, the Trustees noted the concerns raised by some of those who responded that it would be unfair if someone was a sibling at the time of application, but was no longer on the School roll at 1 September.
The Trustees have t在这里fore amended the definition of sibling from the current wording which is, “Siblings of pupils attending Yavneh College at the deadline for application and who i) will still be attending Yavneh College in September or ii) have formerly attended Yavneh College for a period of at least two academic years “, to the new wording which is, “Siblings of pupils attending Yavneh College at the deadline for applications”.
The second proposed change we consulted on was to amend the academic requirements for entry into the Sixth form to take into account the various options available and the new grading structure for GSCEs. The Trustees have decided to make the changes as per the consultation.
Please note that the School is required to review our admissions arrangements annually.
